Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the Nufaa website and any order you place with us. Please read them before you verify your account.
1. Who we are
Nufaa Technologies Limited (“Nufaa”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17405430, with its registered office at 21 New Street, Bloxwich, Walsall, WS3 2HX, United Kingdom.
Nufaa is a digital services and customer-loyalty technology platform. We provide access to essential digital products supplied by merchants — airtime, mobile data bundles, utility top-ups and similar services — and we operate a promotional rewards programme funded by merchant commissions.
2. What we are not
This matters, so it is near the top. Nufaa is not a bank and does not provide regulated financial services. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not operate an e-money account, a payment account or a wallet.
We do not hold, store or transmit customer funds. You pay for the price of a product at the point you order it, and that payment goes towards the supply of that product. There is no balance held with us, nothing to withdraw, and no deposit protection scheme applies because there is no deposit.
Rewards under our programme are promotional discounts. They are not interest, not a return on an investment, and not a financial product of any kind.
3. Who can use Nufaa
To open an account and place orders you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- be resident in the United Kingdom;
- be acting on your own behalf, using your own identity and your own money; and
- complete our identity verification and pass our checks.
Nufaa is currently available to UK residents only. All orders are domestic and priced in pounds sterling.
4. Verifying your identity
Before we open an account we must confirm who you are. You will be asked for your name, date of birth, home address, contact details, an identity document number and photographs of that document and of yourself.
You must give us information that is true, current and your own. We may refuse an application, ask for further documents, or suspend or close an account, if we cannot verify your identity, if information given to us is inaccurate, or if we are required to do so by law. We are not always able to tell you the reason.
How we handle the documents you send is set out in our privacy policy.
5. How orders work at the moment
Nufaa is trading, but the self-serve platform is still being built. Orders are currently placed and fulfilled manually: you verify your account, we contact you, and we take your order by email or telephone.
Every order is an offer from you to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm the order to you. We may decline an order — for example if a product is unavailable, if the price was wrong, or if we suspect fraud or misuse.
6. Prices and payment
- All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.
- The price you are quoted at the time of your order is the price you pay.
- Payment is taken domestically within the United Kingdom.
- We do not hold a balance on your behalf at any point.
Prices depend on what our merchant partners charge us and can change without notice. A change never affects an order we have already confirmed.
7. The rewards programme
When you order through Nufaa, the merchant pays us a commission. We return part of that commission to you as a promotional reward. In plain terms, it is a marketing discount funded by the merchant, not by you and not by us.
- Reward rates are promotional, set per merchant and per product, and can change or be withdrawn at any time.
- Rewards have no cash value beyond being used against Nufaa orders.
- Rewards are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for money.
- A reward attached to an order is reversed if that order is cancelled or refunded.
- We may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through abuse, error, duplicate accounts or fraud.
8. Delivery of digital products
Digital products are delivered to the mobile number, meter number or account reference you give us. It is your responsibility to give us the correct details. A top-up sent to a number you typed incorrectly generally cannot be recovered, and we cannot refund it once the supplier has delivered it.
Delivery times depend on the supplier and the network. Most are close to immediate, but we do not guarantee a delivery time.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. For digital content and services this right ends once delivery has begun with your agreement, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel at that point.
This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where a product is faulty, not as described, or not delivered. If something goes wrong, contact us and we will put it right, refund you, or take it up with the supplier on your behalf.
10. Your responsibilities
You agree not to:
- use Nufaa for anything unlawful, including money laundering or fraud;
- use another person’s identity, documents or payment details;
- open more than one account, or open an account on behalf of someone else without telling us;
- resell our services commercially without our written agreement; or
- interfere with the website, or attempt to access parts of it you are not authorised to use.
11. Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Closing an account does not remove records we are legally required to keep — see the privacy policy.
12. Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for failures caused by a supplier or network outside our control. Where we are liable, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with something, email nufaa.now@hotmail.com or call +44 7982 144203. We aim to acknowledge complaints within one working day and to resolve them within eight weeks.
Because Nufaa is not a regulated financial services firm, the Financial Ombudsman Service does not cover our products. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
